Food & Beverage Reviews: La Plage Cebu New Menu by Chef Jaime Ramos from Spain

It’s not often you have an 11-course dinner. Last Sunday (09/06/20) in La Plage, I was invited to a private dinner as they introduce their menu carefully curated by Chef Jaime Ramos from Spain.

Among the 11 courses were gazpacho, crab bruschetta, croquette, seafood paella and Belgian liquor truffles. Hands down, Chef Jaime! The food were all AMAZING!

Champagne and cocktails were pouring non-stop before and during dinner. Their amaretto sour is now one of my few favorites in Cebu.

THE MENU

Reception on arrival with free flowing Champagne

GAZPACHO | chilled Spanish tomato soup with sherry wine vinegar

CRAB BRUSCHETTA | crab salad on a toasted bread

CROQUETTE DUO | garlic and chilli shrimp and squid ink croquette with aoli oli emulsion

OCTOPUS SATAY | Indonesian marinated octopus skewers

TUNA SLIDERS | tuna pattie, brioche bun, wasabi mayo and caramelized onions

FRIED CALAMARI | deep fried calamari with calamansi mayo

BACOLOD GRILLED CHICKEN | traditional Bacolod grilled chicken skewers

CHORI BURGER | chorizo patties, sweet chilli sauce, squid ink bun and cheddar cheese

SEAFOOD PAELLA | traditional Spanish rice

CINNAMON CUSTARD | lemon and cinnamon egg custard

BELGIAN LIQUOR TRUFFLES | chocolate liquor, gold dust

La Plage Club is open every Fri-Sun from 2pm – 9pm. They follow strict adherence to the new normal protocols so make sure have a reservation.
