If you love the frothy and decadent taste of Dalgona Coffee, you’ll probably enjoy Vietnamese Egg Coffee even more. If you have been to Vietnam, you’ll probably know that their coffee is one of the best!
Here’s how you can make this at home.
Total Prep Time: 10-15 mins.
- 3 scoops of Vietnamese coffee or Robusta coffee
- 3 tsp condensed milk (1 tsp per serve)
- 3 egg yolk, pasteurized (refer to my previous recipe to know how to pasteurize the egg)
- boiling water
Brew a small cup of Vietnamese coffee using their traditional drip or french press.
Crack the eggs and discard the whites. Please refer to my previous blog on how to pasteurize the eggs. (https://chefbuano.com/2020/03/29/my-recipes-my-version-of-dalgona-coffee/#more-2938)
Put the yolk and the sweetened condensed milk in a small, deep bowl and start your mixer/whisk vigorously until you end up with a frothy, fluffy mixture like the one above. Add a tablespoon of the brewed coffee and whisk/mix it in.
In a clear coffee cup (we’re going for aesthetics here), pour in your brewed coffee, then add the fluffy egg mixture on top.
