Life + Style: Meet The New UBER App

Uber – my usual ride to the office

Last Thursday, Uber Philippines had an intimate dinner with a couple of Cebu bloggers to introduce the new Uber app.

Uber has redesigned its app with cool new features that will surely amaze the frequent and new riders. Uber introduced the changes a couple of days ago to a few select riders globally. It enables the riders  to connect their phone calendars to the new app so it can book the rider’s destination. Those who have synced their contacts with the new app can locate a person and their exact location with their permission (now you can legally stalk people hahaha).

With the new Uber app, you can connect your social media apps like Snapchat, Pandora, Foursquare and Spotify. Once you are on your ride to your destination, the focus is on helping you make most of your Uber trip. You can share your trip status with friends. You can also browse tips through Foursquare on what to do and where to go next. For music lovers, you can connect your spotify music to the driver’s car and have your playlist play all throughout your trip.

The best part of the new Uber app is that it learns from your routines. So if you’re a frequent rider you’ll see “shortcuts” that predict where you could be headed. This means you can get moving with just one tap.

For those who have tried it, let me know what you think by putting down your comments below.
