Saigon Cooking Class building

One of the highlights of my Vietnam trip a couple of months ago was joining a cooking class by Saigon Cooking Class in Ho Chi Minh City. You have two options to choose from – A half-day gourmet tour where your chef will guide you through the Ben Thanh market to purchase necessary ingredients for cooking. Then head back to the restaurant for your class. The other option is skipping the market tour and just join with the cooking class.

In a cozy and fun atmosphere, the participants will be cooking together following the chef’s step by step instructions.

After 3 hours of prepping, cooking and plating we were able to come up with the following dishes:

Fresh spring roll with prawns, pork, fresh herbs and rice noodles with Saigon Cooking Class’ peanut dipping sauce
Gói ga (green mango, “Cang Cua” sala, baby spinach & BBQ chicken with sate
Com gói lá sen (fried rice with lotus seeds, prawn, chicken, carrots & green peas fold in a fresh lotus leaf
passion fruit dessert
